Position: PA-C/ FNP

Urgent Care PA-C or FNP 4 miles from Beautiful Carolina Beach 10 K signing bonus

An experienced PA or FNP is needed for a Fulltime position at Masonboro Urgent Care in beautiful Wilmington, NC. 4 miles from the beaches of Carolina and Kure Beach.

This clinic does primary care as well as walk in urgent care with a primary care copay.

Primary care, urgent care or ER background is required. The provider will be expected to work independently with the supervising physician available by telephone. The provider will have another experienced provider in the office most weekdays, doing primary care and is available to help out

We use Athena as our EMR. Experience with Athena would be an asset.

The provider will see children to geriatrics.

This position is every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday 8 am to 4 pm and rotate weekdays with an experienced PA-C.

The Clinic operates seven days a week. The clinic is open 13 hours weekdays, 8am to 9pm. Weekend hours are 8am to 4pm.

The provider will: order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and healthcare needs. He/she will record physical findings and formulate plans and prognoses, based on patients’ conditions. The provider will prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment and related therapeutic procedures. He/she may also refer patients to other physicians or to specialized health resources for treatment as medically indicated. Although appropriate analgesics are prescribed for acute pain and injury, the clinic does have a non-narcotic policy regarding the provision of controlled substances for chronic pain issues.

The provider will be expected to: do initial radiologic interpretation of onsite digital x-rays. All X-rays are over read by a radiologist. He/she will also be expected to perform simple splinting and suturing procedures.

Provider will also have CBC, BMP, HCG, HbgA1C, and multiple Point of Care testing available on site.

Support staff includes RN office administrator, LPN Co-manager, CMA Co-manager, Xray tech and other CMA/ RMA staff all on rotating shifts. Other administrative staff include billing manager, Quality Care manager, receptionists.
