Affect is the pioneer of an evidence-based digital recovery program for stimulant, alcohol and cannabis use. We combine technology, behavioral support, and medical care to help our members overcome substance addictions, providing virtual support and empowerment.

Affect is looking to work with part-time Psychiatrists who want to change the way the world treats addiction and join our team by becoming a Collaborator to support our highly engaged and trained Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).

Affect works with part-time PMHNPs who oversee our member care with the support of the member services team, which consists of counselors and member advocates. This team of providers delivers evidence-based stimulant, alcohol and cannabis use disorder treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) licensed in states Affect is actively working with members - monthly or quarterly (depending on state regulations)
• Evaluate patient records, make prescribing decisions, and provide medication-related counseling as needed in a timely manner
• Follow Affect security and HIPAA regulations to protect our members
• Fulfill state-specific regulations as a collaborator in the state(s) you are contracted
• Conduct provider evaluations as required, practice proper documentation review, assessment, etc.
• This is a very part-time, 100% remote, work-from-home position

Requirements:

• Active state and medical psychiatry license(s), in good standing, to practice within the state being contracted
• Medicaid enrolled within the state being contracted
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed psychiatrist, experience in substance use disorder field preferred
• Empathy when working with members
• High comfort level with technology, including EHR software, and other tools that will improve member care
• Ability to make high-quality clinical decisions aligned with Affect’s policies
• Commitment to a high ethical standard
